A Life Update

My last foray onto this little platform was to share my Love Island thoughts. Since then I haven’t been back with any juicy lifestyle content for you. You could say I’ve been consumed lately. Not only by the intricate relationships between people I don’t know on ITV2 every night but also by my own life.

London lifestyle and dating blogger

The end of term is always mental at work. We’re writing reports, submitting results, meeting parents and preparing ahead for next year. I don’t talk about my job often (primary school teacher for my sins) but juggling the work load, a social life, this blog and dating all got too much recently.

I’ve also had a pretty down period. By down, I mean pretty fucking bleak actually. I had just been feeling so lifeless, lonely and lost. Fortunately, I plucked up the courage to sign up to a new GP and get the ball rolling with a diagnosis I have had (more on that another time) but it’s safe to say I’m now the proud owner of a prescription for Sertraline and things are looking less bleak.

Finally, I’ve been up to bits and bobs to do with the blog behind the scenes. I’ve done a workshop on ‘Blog Engagement and Finding Your Voice’ for Scarlett London. I’m currently trying to organise a working lunch where I help select groups of you with the same things so hit me up if you want to get involved. I could also do a post on this if you guys are interested?

Another thing that has been clogging up my creative path is deciding on the future of this blog to ensure that I’m always bringing you the freshest content that I’m happy with. I haven’t been feeling particularly ‘on form’ and it’s only when I’m feeling sassy and funny that the best ideas flow. I didn’t just want to trot out any old tripe for ya.

Oh and there’s the small matter of a BBC documentary I’ve been filming for a pitch. There’s not much I can say about this but if it comes through, you’ll be hearing about it.

So YEAH busy busy. I’m hoping that my summer holidays, which arrive in a couple of weeks, will give me time to shoot photos, write content, host lunches and finally get back into YouTube. It would also be a delight to get writing on my 2 books that I’ve started. Please let me know if there’s anything you guys want to see from me and sorry that this post has been a rambling stream of consciousness!

Sorry to hear you’ve been feeling down but it sounds like you’re on the right track! Don’t worry about regular content-like you said, you don’t want to give us pish you had to whip up. Your posts are so good because you have written them from a sassy place and it reads like that too. That is what makes them so great.
    Have a fun summer holiday!

Ah I’d love to come along to one of the works shops.
I’m glad you were able to go to the GP and get things going in the right direction for you. It’s taken me months to get there but I’ve finally got myself a gp app too.
Hope you’re doing okay with it all
